‘Mayor’s Business Roundtable’ planned for Aug. 9 at Apple Valley Golf Course

From Staff Reports

Key town officials will be on hand next week to chat about the important topics that affect local businesses.

Mayor Curt Emick, Town Manager Frank Robinson and key staff members will be part of the “Mayor’s Business Roundtable” from 7:30 to 9:30 a.m. Aug. 9 at the Apple Valley Golf Course Restaurant.

This is the second meeting of its kind for Apple Valley.

“Our first Roundtable was extremely successful,” Emick said in a news release. “Businesses appreciated having instant access to the staff members they need most to answer their questions.”

Emick hosted the first roundtable in May, with business owners and community leaders from throughout Apple Valley getting their chance to talk shop with town officials.

“For many businesses, success hinges on a solid business plan, good customer service and a positive working relationship with the community and local government,” Emick said in a previous town news relase. “As a former local business owner, and now Mayor, I believe we need to bridge the gap between private sector businesses and local government.”

Planning, building and safety and code enforcement are a few of the town departments that will be available for questions and answers. Among the many topics that will be discussed in an open forum is the Town’s sign code, a budget update and a report on recent economic development activity.

The Apple Valley Golf Course is located at 15200 Rancherias Road at Highway 18. Reservations are appreciated at 760-240-7000, ext. 7074 or info@applevalley.org.
