From Staff Reports

Families can learn “All About Bugs” at the Victor Valley Museum from 2 to 4 p.m. Thursday. This program, supported by a grant from the Community Foundation of Riverside and San Bernardino Counties, is presented by the education division of the San Bernardino County Museum and is included with paid museum admission.

“Explore the tiny world of insects, arachnids, and other crawly creatures,” said Jolene Redvale, the County Museum’s curator of education. “Visitors will get close-up looks at critters with microscopes and hand lenses, and can play buggy games. A variety of activities will engage visitors of all ages as we discover what lives in their own backyards.”

The Victor Valley Museum, located at 11873 Apple Valley Road in Apple Valley, is a branch of the San Bernardino County Museum. The museum is open Wednesday through Sunday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Admission is $5 (adult), $4 (senior or military), and $2.50 (student). Children under 5 and San Bernardino County Museum Association members are free. Parking is free.

The museum is accessible to persons with disabilities. If assistive listening devices or other auxiliary aids are needed in order to participate in museum exhibits or programs, requests should be made through Museum Visitor Services at least three business days prior to the visit. Visitor Services’ telephone number is 909-307-2669.
