Workshop available for women at the St. Mary High Desert Medical Group Senior Select Resource Center

Women undergoing cancer treatment are invited to learn how to combat treatment’s appearance-related side effects at a free session of “Look Good...Feel Better” from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. Oct. 20 at the St. Mary High Desert Medical Group Senior Select Resource Center.
Look Good...Feel Better is a free two-hour workshop conducted by trained and licensed volunteer beauty professionals who offer practical tips about skin care, makeup techniques and guidance for coping with hair loss.
Participants will also receive a free bag of makeup matched to their skin tone from leading cosmetic companies valued at about $250. Ultimately, participants receive a boost in self-esteem that helps them better face their cancer battle.
Look Good...Feel Better is a nationwide collaboration of the American Cancer Society and the Personal Care Products Council Foundation. Future classes at the same time and location include Nov. 17 and Dec. 15.
