Directors Kevin Mahany, Lezli Roberts lauded

Two directors from St. Joseph Health, St. Mary were recently recognized for their service and professionalism.
Director of Healthy Communities Kevin Mahany is the recipient of the 2014 Blessed Teresa of Calcutta Award from the Diocese of San Bernardino.
Mahany was chosen for the award for his outstanding service in healthcare and fulfilling the mission of the Diocese “so that people’s lives are filled with hope,” according to a news release.
“People’s lives are filled with hope because Kevin Mahany, a champion for the poor and vulnerable, has committed his life’s work in the past ten years to inspire hope when none seemed possible,” Outreach Worker Wendolym Dubon wrote in her nomination of Kevin.
Mahany was honored at the 2014 White Mass on Oct. 19 at Christ the Reedemer Parish in Grand Terrace. This mass celebrates healthcare professionals in recognition of the dedicated work with Rev. Gerald R. Barnes presiding.
“My work had been very fulfilling because of everything St. Joseph Health stands for,” Mahany said, “and because of the many local partners who share our dream of better health and more hope.”
The Association of Fundraising Professionals, Inland Empire Chapter selected St. Joseph Health, St. Mary’s Director of Special Gifts Lezli Roberts as the 2014 Professional of the Year award recipient.
“Please join us in congratulating Lezli as she is recognized as a fundraiser who has demonstrated outstanding commitment, dedication and talent toward promoting and supporting philanthropy in our community,” the news release states.
