Four one-hour workshops planned in December, January
From Staff Reports
Avant-Garde Foster Family and Adoption Agency Inc. and St. Joseph Health, St. Mary are partnering to offer a presentation for those interested in learning what it takes to become a foster parent and make a positive change in childrens’ lives.
The free one-hour orientations will be offered from 5 to 6 p.m. and 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday and again on Jan. 21 in the St. Joseph Health, St. Mary Administrative Support Center rooms 1, 2, 3, located behind St. Mary Hospital at 16071 Kasota Road.
With over 50,000 children waiting for good foster and adoptive homes, the current need is tremendous.
Those interested can join Avant-Garde by becoming a foster parent, adopting a child or seeking employment. No matter how you join with Avant-Garde, you will be making a difference for the thousands of abandoned children in California.
Being an Avant-Garde parent means being part of an organization with very high standards and expertise to help children in need. Future two-hour training sessions for foster parents may be scheduled based on the number of interested potential candidates.
