Sitting Bull Academy announced last week plans to open kindergarten registration for the the 2015/2016 school year.
The school will hold its kindergarten registration day from 2 to 5 p.m. Feb. 18 in the upper campus office at Sitting Bull Academy, 19445 Sitting Bull Road in Apple Valley.
The first day of school for the 2015/2016 school year is Aug. 5. By California law, kindergarten is a full-day program. School hours will be 8:10 a.m. to 2:40 p.m.
Parent/guardian must have the record of updated immunizations, birth certificate and address verification. Kindergartners must be 5 years old by Sept. 1, 2015 and have a physical and verification of current dental exam before school starts on Aug. 5. The school's two-year Transitional Kindergarten program is for children who turn 5 years old between Sept. 2 and Dec. 2.
