From Staff Reports
As March is Cerebral Palsy Awareness Month, handfuls of local students used their feet to show support for a fellow student stricken with the disease.
On March 17, all kindergarten through eighth grade students at Mariana Academy participated in a walk to increase awareness for Cerebral Palsy, in honor of student Lillian Sanderfer. Students wore green ribbons, donated by Apple Valley Florist.
Students rallied around Lillian and cheered for her, while she walked for a portion of the event.
